How far in advance can I book?

You may book online maximum 12 months, minimum 48 hours in advance, prior to your arrival pick up date. For last minute bookings which pick up time is less than 48 hours, we strongly recommend to contact us by phone for quick assistance and confirmation.

Do I need to prepay for my booking?

Yes, we require 20% down payment at the time of booking to secure your price and reservation. You may pay the balance at pick up either cash or by credit card.

Should I order optional extras during booking?

If you require any baby/child/booster seats, snow chains; we advise to order in advance during booking to enable us hold the equipment for you. You may buy others such as optional insurance, additional driver either during booking or at pick up.

Is there an age limit for car rental?

Yes, minimum rental age is 21 and maximum 75. However, younger drivers less than 25 may not be allowed to driver large vehicles.

Can I pick up a car from one location and return to another location?

Yes, delivery to another Proper Car Rental service point instead of car pick up one is possible. There may be minimum rental days requirement and additional one way rental fee for this type of rental depending on the pickup/drop off locations.

How do I receive my confirmation?

You receive your confirmation by email sent to your email address you provide while booking. Please make sure that you enter your email correct.

May I change my reservation once it is booked?

Yes, you may view, change, cancel your reservation at Rates & Reservations page by clicking on "I already have reservation" link. Otherwise, all changes need to be made after the confirmation should be emailed to reservations@propercar.com or faxed to + 90-252-3168843 and will take effect from the date received by Proper Car Rental. However, if the change need to be made in less than 48 hours to pickup time, we advise you to contact us by phone + 90-252-3169540, + 90-252-3130115, + 90-544-3449540 (Emergency Number 24 hours)

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, you may cancel your reservation at Rates & Reservations page by clicking on "I already have reservation" link. Otherwise, all cancellations need to be made after the confirmation should be emailed to reservations@propercar.com or faxed to + 90-252-3168843 and will take effect from the date received by Proper Car Rental. Depending on the date you cancel, cancellation charges may apply. Please check our cancellation policy at rental terms page.

How do I pick up my car at airport locations?

The pickup address is provided in your confirmation. We usually meet you outside arrivals terminal unless there is an airport office.

How do I pick up my car at city locations?

The office pickup address at city locations is provided in your confirmation. You may also pickup from hotel, accommodation address, ports in city limits or outside city (there may be additional charge)

Can I pick up out of office hours?

Yes, you may pick up 24 hours in a day when you book and inform in advance.

Which documents should I present at pickup?

You should present driving licence, passport and credit card for main renter, driving licence only for additional drivers.

What sort of driving license you require?

Drivers should provide a valid national or international driver's license held at least two years.

Can I rent a car without credit card?

It is required to leave a deposit to cover the insurance excess amounts (where applicable), fuel extended rentals, traffic fines. To do so, a valid credit card in the name of the lead driver, must be provided upon collection of the car or cash deposit minimum 300.00 Euro (where applicable) as a form of deposit.

How can I pay the balance at pickup?

Major credit cards Visa/Mastercard, cash, travelers cheques are accepted for payment.

Can I pickup my car full tank?

Vehicles are not provided full tank, but you may request pre-paid full tank at the time of booking which is going to be charged at pick up. You need to return the car empty as there is no refund for unused fuel.

Can I let my friends to drive the car?

Only drivers who are registered in rental agreement can drive the vehicle. If any accident occurs while non-registered driver is driving the rental car, insurance will be void.

Can I travel to another country?

Our cars can not be taken abroad. In case of offence insurance loose validity.

What should I do in case of accident?

Do not move the car until the police or gendarme comes. Contact us either from emergency number or office numbers immediately. We will make the arrangements for the rest.

What should I do in case of car breakdown?

Do not move the car and contact us either from emergency number or office numbers immediately. Depending on the breakdown reason we will either change the vehicle or make it repaired in the nearest service to you.

Where do I drop off the car at airports?

You may drop off the car outside departures terminal at airports unless other place stated in rental agreement.

May I return earlier/later than the date/time written in rental agreement?

You may return at a different date/time, if only you inform us in advance and get our confirmation.
